About Swamy Vivekananda School
Swamy Vivekananda School (SVS) was established in 1992 under the banner of Sri Panchalingeshwar Educational and Charitable Trust, Sedam (R), on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi.
The school began with a kindergarten section and gradually expanded up to Class 10, growing into a respected institution in the region.
SVS has consistently inspired students to become good citizens enriched with cultural values, sportsmanship, and academic excellence. Equal importance is given to curricular and co-curricular activities, helping students develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
The school provides exposure to modern educational tools and learning aids, enabling children to understand concepts effectively and recognize the importance of education in real life.
Since its establishment, SVS has participated in over 500 events, with students representing the school at Taluka, District, and Zonal levels, achieving remarkable milestones.
Facilities Computer Lab
School’s computer lab is a space which provides computer training to students. Computer lab is typically helping students to learn and explore the things in better way. Students typically follow a certain rules before accessing to the computers in computer lab. Our lab consists of the students not engaging in illegal activities or attempting to circumvent any security or content-control software while using the computers. Students are restricted to time limits, in order to allow more students to get an opportunity to use the lab facility. Computers in computer labs are equipped with internet access, scanners and printers. Computers in lab are arranged in rows, so that every workstation has a similar view of one end of the room to facilitate teaching or lecturing or presentations to facilitate students. In school student laptops take the place of dedicated computer in labs sometime. *Science Lab*
School is well-equipped with science laboratory for imparting practical knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The aim of having lab is to provide ample time and adequate equipment for every student to perform the experiments as per the curriculum. Laboratory is well-stocked with sufficient chemicals, specimens and instruments so that every student gets the opportunity to carry out the experiments individually. Well-qualified and experienced teachers guide the students to explore the world of science through a meticulously planned schedule of practical classes. Moreover, the safety of every child while handling the chemicals and instruments is duly taken care off. *Library*
School has a full-fledged library. The library provides quiet and tranquil environs where children can come to satiate their quest for knowledge. The Library is set up keeping in mind the younger children gets a vibrant environment to make the reading experience enticing. Library has a rich treasure trove of encyclopedias, illustrated dictionaries, and popular science books along with various series. Library is well-stocked with classic, modern and contemporary works of literature in both Hindi and English languages.
Apart from books, library has a decent assortment of CDs of encyclopaedias, reading material on environment awareness topics. The library also subscribe to a large number of journals and magazines, daily news & periodicals to help students stay up-to-date with events from around the world as well as discover and explore new career avenues.
With the aim of inculcating a lifelong passion for books and knowledge, we encourage all students to make the most of their library sessions.
Sports Facilities
School Sports facilities include a play Ground with more than two volley ball & throw ball courts respectively. There is also a special playground designed for students of the pre-primary section.
All the major games, including volleyball, throw ball & Football, Badminton and Kho-Kho are played by the students. Indoor games such as Chess and Carom Board are available for rainy days. Yoga is taught to the students with an aim to develop a higher level of concentration and flexibility. Field trips and study tours are organized regularly to enable the children to explore and to learn pragmatically.
The school’s emphasis on co-curricular activities and holistic development of students has led it to implement innovative sports programs. Each of the activities of this program is custom-made for the students and encourages them to fully embrace sports and fitness. It also helps them to develop motor, cognitive and social skills along with enhancing their academic aptitude.
All the students are encouraged to take part in sports activities of their choice.
Library
The SVS School library is a well-organized learning space that provides students with access to a rich collection of books, reference materials, and reading resources. The library plays an important role in nurturing reading habits, research skills, and overall academic growth among students. Students are encouraged to follow library rules, including maintaining silence and handling books responsibly. The library promotes disciplined and ethical use of resources, ensuring that books and materials are well preserved. Students are allotted specific time slots to enable equal access for all. The SVS School library is equipped with textbooks, storybooks, reference books, newspapers, and magazines, creating a calm and supportive environment for reading, study, and academic exploration.
Science Lab
The SVS School science lab is a well-equipped learning space designed to provide students with hands-on practical experience in science. The lab supports effective learning by helping students understand scientific concepts through experiments and demonstrations. Students are required to follow safety rules and laboratory guidelines to ensure a secure and disciplined environment. The science lab promotes responsible use of equipment and materials, encouraging curiosity while maintaining strict safety standards. Practical sessions are conducted as per scheduled time slots so that all students receive equal opportunities for experiential learning. The SVS School science lab is furnished with essential laboratory apparatus, models, and instructional materials, creating a safe and engaging environment for scientific exploration and discovery.

As a principal it gives me an immense pleasure to share my experience & expertise with you in few lines about my school. Our school started in the year 1992-93 with the strength of 25 students and 5 teaching and non teaching staff members, now it has reached the remarkable strength of 450+ and 25+ staff members. We have started our journey 33 years ago, with the aim to provide a quality education to the people of sedam. I’m packed with a deep sense of satisfaction and gratitude to the “management” for the abundant support and guidance to lead this prestigious institution.
Here, we celebrate each student as being individual and unique and also we support this, in partnership with the community, by providing a ‘wrap around’ academic, social and cultural curriculum. Our staff is highly skilled and experienced. Together the teaching and support staff encourage and support students to achieve their best and to feel positive about education and learning.
The school motto is “Care and attentiveness”. Our school believes in five values which provide our staff and students with a blueprint for life – Be Safe; Be Respectful; Be Responsible; Be Your Best and Be Kind.
